Responsibilities

Requirements

A successful candidate will have:

• Degree holder, preferably in business, management, economics, finance, marketing; MBA or Masters' are also welcome to apply
• About 2-3 years' experience in business consulting, commercial research, market intelligence, strategic planning, corporate advisory or management consulting, preferably with overseas exposure or MNC experience
• Able to do creative analysis and exercise both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent report editing skills, with fluent spoken and written knowledge of business English a must
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and independently under tight deadlines and pressure
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills and strong client-driven mindset and strategic mindset focus

MALAYSIA: Consultants / Senior Consultants (Business Consulting, Malaysia)

Job description

The successful incumbent will be part of a project-based consulting team where responsibilities include project execution and management, conducting primary and secondary research (e.g. industry researches and interviews), preparing reports and conducting project presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder in Business / Management / Economics or its equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years working experience for consultants and 4 years for Senior Consultants (inclusive of 2 years experience in a leadership role for Senior Consultants), in business / management consulting, commercial research, market intelligence, or corporate advisory. Experience in commercial sectors will also be considered
• Well read and have good general knowledge including knowledge of current news locally and globally
• Possesses project management experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask
• Strong business acumen and strong interest in international business, strategy, marketing, and economic issues
• Fluent in both spoken and written English with excellent report writing skills

MALAYSIA: Information Specialist (Business Consulting, Malaysia)

Job description

Ipsos Business Consulting (IBC) is the strategic business unit of Ipsos that assists clients globally to enter, evolve and expand in emerging and developed markets. We provide our services to clients such as Fortune 500 companies, leading regional and global corporations, as well as government agencies.

Requirements

We are seeking to recruit an Information Specialist to work in IBC's regional Library and Information Services (LIS). The successful candidate will join the LIS team in providing services to IBC in the areas of desk research, database management, library administration and knowledge management. He/she will be based in our Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) office.

We are looking for a graduate with drive and initiative who can contribute positively to the growth and development of the team. The successful applicant will initially focus on providing desk research support to IBC offices in the Asia Pacific region, before moving on to take responsibility for providing desk research support for IBC globally.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows. The successful candidate may be required to execute other tasks and take on responsibilities outside the immediate scope of the position from time to time.

• Provide desk research support to project teams in all IBC offices by carrying out extensive information research using online databases and the Internet
• Conduct further secondary research by tapping into other business information resources such as libraries and trade associations
• Regular updating of internal online databases with new inputs from the regional offices.
• Maintenance of in-house library, including cataloguing of library materials
• Provide administrative and other support for KM initiatives in the division

Reporting level

The Information Specialist will report directly to the Knowledge Manager of IBC who is based in Singapore.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate is likely to have at least 1-2 years working experience in conducting desk / secondary research using online subscription databases. A degree in Information Studies or Knowledge Management would be an advantage.

THAILAND: Marketing Communications Manager (Business Consulting, Thailand)

Marketing Communications Manager

The Marketing Communications Manager will provide a broad range of Communications and Marketing support to the Business Consulting Division of Ipsos. The position reports to the Marketing Task Force within BC and to the Head of the Marketing Task Force on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of the Marketing Task Force and the CEO of Ipsos Business Consulting to develop and implement the marketing and communication strategy for Ipsos Business Consulting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To work closely with Country offices to establish excellent working relationships with key organisations and individuals within the media, both print and broadcast at national and local level
• To take the lead on the development and management of detailed marketing and communication plans for BC at group level
• Review country level marketing and commutation plans to ensure consistency with group requirements, providing support for local advertising and promotional campaigns where required.
• To assist the CEO on the coordination, creation and dissemination of marketing material for Ipsos Business Consulting
• To produce and distribute press releases about all aspects of the Ipsos Business Consulting work using an online press lists and to keep all lists up to date
• To produce and distribute "press packs" where required
• To organise and manage "photo shoots" and "press calls" where required.
• To oversee a press cuttings strategy for the Ipsos Business Consulting
• To help manage the Ipsos Business Consulting's global website in consultation with relevant members of the management team, including content, branding and SEO
• To identify opportunities for, and manage, the Ipsos Business Consulting's advertising and print distribution
• Coordinate with the Global Marketing department on Marketing Material and Public Relations matters for BC, including press releases

Requirements

We are seeking someone who is able to get the right balance between strategy and execution. This role requires someone who is able to effectively implement the strategy as well as having the creativity to develop a winning strategy. You should be an excellent communicator who is sensitive to the people and matter in hand. Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks are essential.

You will have the ideas, drive and determination to be able to distinguish Ipsos Business Consulting within the market place through the development of a unique identity.

Bachelor's degree in marketing / marketing communication or equivalent, with proven track record / experience with at least 6-8 years experience in marketing, marketing communications or equivalent experience

Ability to write crisp, clear and creative copy, including for press releases, newsletter, communications materials and collaterals; excellent command of the English language

Web site marketing and conference management experience in a professional / B2B environment would be a strong advantage

Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
